Elementor is one of the best page builders for WordPress and has made a lot of peoples a lot easier! In this post, I will show some of the best free Elementor add-ons that you can use to make better use of Elementor. If you like you can read my overall review of Elementor here.
Essential Addons for Elementor – Free Elementor add ons
This is a great plugin for Elementor and it will add some amazing stuff to your library of elements. You can read more about the plugin here, it’s also a great website if you’re looking for inspiration. With the free version, you get 12 elements that you can start using straight away. Some are more useful than others, I would say one of the most useful is the Filterable Gallery and Woo Product Grid.
Filterable Gallery
I have used this multiple times for clients. It allows you to have a gallery display on your website but also enables you to categorize each image so when a user clicks on that category it will filter out all the others. This is a great replacement for an elementor portfolio plugin or an elementor gallery plugin as you can show off your stuff super easily.
Woo Product Grid
I use this elementor add on a lot because the default Woocommerce elements for Elementor don’t have a nice-looking, customizable grid system for products. I have used this for a number of websites including https://quinnspins.com/ and https://www.starbrite.co.uk/. This gives the user the ability to edit a grid of products, you can edit the typography, font size, font color and a lot more. This simply isn’t possible for free elementor without this plugin. Below is an example:
Are the premium Essential Addons for Elementor worth it?
The short answer is yes. The premium elements for this have served me really well and the customer service is amazing.
Elementor Password Protected element – How to protect content using a password
One of the features I have used multiple times is the protected content feature. This allows you to lock some content behind a password. If you want you can hide a download button to You can download it here
The password protected element has a lot of uses. For example I have implemented features that make users signup to their email subscription in order to gain access to a certain areas. Another example could be adding a small fee if they want a few a video. Its a great way of monitising parts of your websites in a way that’s quick and easy to implement. There are of course a lot of other parts that would be useful to your website. You can view the full list here.
To conclude Essential Addons for Elementor is a great addition to any Elementor website whether or not you use the free version or the premium. To download the free plugin click here.

One of my favourite parts of this plugin is the Fancy Text Widget. This creates a beautiful heading that gives the impression of someone typing. Its a great way of making a heading stand out and gives your site a professional look.
Another useful element is the Carousel Widget. This is useful for displaying multiple products of services. Including info like text, images and headings. You can also use this element to make a testimonial slider which I have done on my occasions for my clients.
There are a lot more third-party Elementor Addons on the market but many of them don’t offer a few options. You can few more of them here https://elementor.com/addons/ so its worth having a look. It’s also worth noting that many of the elements that can be bought as addons are also available through Elementor Pro.

All of the elements are based around Woocommerce, the most useful elements include Universal Product Layout allows you to add a product grid anywhere on your page. An interesting element is Suggest a Price, this allows the user to click a button which expands into a suggestion form. This could have multiple uses but the intention (as the name suggests) is for the user to suggest a price on a product. But you could use this for many different functions, for example, if you wanted to create a form that is hidden until you click a button. You can see below how the element works, you press the button and it expands the form that you can see. You can choose what email this goes to when you press submit it sends. If the user decides they don’t want to do this then this can press Close and the form will close!
